Let's Talk Values

Recently, I was chatting with one of our members. She was offering great feedback on ideas to implement and better serve a demographic she saw we’re perfectly set up for. During that chat, she noted she wanted to ensure her suggestions aligned with our mission and values. Although she’d been around our space for years and got a certain vibe for what we valued, it was never made clear exactly what those were. Well, she was right. We have clear values guiding our decisions, but we’ve never brought them out into the open. That changes now. Here are the values CrossFit Armati holds near and dear—the compass behind all we do.

Hold the Standard
If you’re a member here, follow our content, have purchased apparel, or simply chatted with our staff, this phrase has surely come up. But what does it mean? The short answer: EVERYTHING. More importantly, it means we lead by example and practice what we preach.

Our space challenges the status quo in pursuit of excellence in fitness, nutrition, and mindset. When you interact with our staff or members, this is evident. You know someone is “Armati” by the fruits in their lives. They walk the talk.

Foster the Pursuit of Peak Expression
We support others in becoming the best version of themselves. We recognize that the best thing we can do for those we influence is to show up as the best version of ourselves—not perfection, but peak expression. It’s about taking your gifts and talents and pushing them to their limits. This means showing upas a great coach or gym member, but also as a better parent, co-worker, employee, boss, friend, or neighbor.

For this to work, our facility must be safe, inclusive, and challenging all at once. Vulnerability is a must. Failure is encouraged, and doing the work is non-negotiable.

Tell the Truth. Always
The pursuit of peak expression means going against the grain. The natural state is sedentary—restful. Moving forward takes work and effort. You’ll meet resistance, and that can lead to excuses or settling. In our facility, we’re ready to have difficult conversations. We ensure this by telling the truth.Always.

Help First. Be the Coach
Servant leadership is how we roll. We’re a staff of coaches, not just trainers.Training is a tool to improve fitness, but more importantly, we meet people where they are, helping them clarify what they really want and why. From there, we sift out distractions, focus on actions that achieve those goals, and hold you accountable to the plans you set. That’s coaching.

Do the Next Right Thing
We make decisions and stay flexible. Life is full of twists and turns. Regardless of where we are in this moment, we can choose our next action. We return to our mission, vision, and values, weigh the options, make a decision, and EXECUTE. Then we do it again. Our members do the same. We can’t change the past or guarantee the future, but we have right now. Before you act, ask yourself, “What’s the next right thing?” and do that. Stack those wins overtime, compound them, and change your world. If we all choose the next right thing, we can lay our heads on our pillows each night knowing we did the best we could with the tools we had. That’s the Armati way.
